Elder Living Advisors is excited to announce are association with the NPRA. “We believe strongly in full transparency for our seniors and clients and know that the NPRA does as well” stated Sean McDonnell, President of Elder Living Advisors. The NPRA is a nationally recognized 501(c)6, non-profit trade organization established in 2017 to educate and advocate for the senior referral and placement industry. “Our goal is to offer a full-service agency solution to families so they can navigate the complex space of senior living. We want to make sure families are aware of all choices and that they have they support they need to make the best choice for their loved one” said Sean McDonnell.
The NPRA mission includes establishing local chapters that serve a diverse membership across the country in order to best serve and impact those local communities. Our activities are focused around the following Four Initiatives
- Family Have Rights– Families should retain the right to ultimately select the representative they wish to work with when selecting senior living. Referral agencies, both local operators and large online companies, do not own a family’s information and the family should reserve the right to whom ultimately represents them in order to receive compensation from the selected senior living provider.
- Agents for a Fair Marketplace– Our driving force is to establish fair business practices and deliver quality services to consumers through advocacy, education, partnerships, innovation and public policy.
- Best Practices– We believe that unified Best Practices and Standards of Ethics make our industry stronger in the absence of licensure and regulation. Best Practices creates the foundation for a growing industry.
- National Certification– Our “Best Practices and “Code of Ethics” will be integrated into the only national, industry specific certification for referral and placement specialists. This certification will have the purpose of designating and distinguishing agents who demonstrate the skill, expertise and experience as a referral and placement specialist. In lieu of licensure, this will be the highest standard of practice an industry professional could receive.
